Breakdown cover

Know which level you have, whether you already have it somewhere else, and get quotes when you’re ready.

Breakdown cover sits with the rest of your vehicle costs: the insurance, the tax, the MOT. Wisemium keeps its level and its renewal date on record, so you are not paying for it twice.

Quotes come from an FCA-authorised comparison service, not from Wisemium. Wisemium does not give insurance advice.

Your breakdown cover year

  1. Cover active

    Kept on record

The provider, the level, the cost and the renewal date, as you confirm them.

  2. Renewal approaching

    Check the level

Does it still match how you drive? Has the car’s age moved outside the policy?

  3. Check for doubles

    Already included?

A bank account, a car insurance policy, a new car warranty or a lease can include breakdown cover.

  4. Get quotes if needed

    Compare with a provider

Quotezone, an FCA-authorised comparison service, shows the options available to you.

  5. Continue

    Kept for next year

The date stays with your vehicle costs.

The cover

The vehicle

Nothing you tick here is saved. Add your cover to Wisemium and its renewal date is kept with it.

Roadside is the lowest level

Roadside-only cover often excludes a breakdown at or near home, and usually tows a short distance to a garage rather than to where you choose.

Vehicle or personal

Vehicle cover goes with one car whoever drives it. Personal cover goes with you in any car you drive or travel in.

It pays to get you moving

Cover pays for the call-out and recovery, not for parts or garage repairs.
